Important Update: Summer School Animal Welfare 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we announce our Summer School Animal Welfare will not take place this year due to unforeseen circumstances.

We know many of you, students, researchers, and professionals alike, were looking forward to this edition, and we truly share your disappointment.

At the same time, we’re incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm, interest, and support we’ve received from all of you. Thank you! 💚

That said, this is not the end. We remain committed to future editions and are already looking forward to what’s next.

Get ready for a new edition of the Summer School Animal Welfare!

What?

In the span of an extended weekend we will explore the concept of animal welfare from multiple angles through interesting lectures, workshops, excursions…

This year everything will once again be in English and all lectures will be new. There will be no repetitions from our last editions. So, definitely an experience you don’t want to miss!

When?

The Summer School will take place from Friday the 19th of September until Sunday the 21st.

How much does it cost?

This year the Summer School will cost a small fee. But, at the end of the weekend a cashback will be possible for all who attended! In case of late cancellations or absence, the entrance fee will go to the organization of our next events.

Coffee, lunches and dinner on Friday will of course still be included!

Where?

Everything will take place at the GreenHub in Ghent, unless stated otherwise in your schedule. For the excursions we’ll carpool or go together by bike.
